Elana Noelle Myers Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is for graduating seniors at James Bowie High School that have demonstrated community involvement and who have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Preference shown to students that have been JROTC cadets for at least two years.

The Elana Noelle Myers Memorial Scholarship Fund is created in memory of Elana Noelle Myers by her parents, Michael and Tracy and her sisters, Sierra and Kinsey. Elana Noelle Myers, 18, of Austin, Texas was a graduate of Bowie High School where she was the Wing Commander of the Bowie JROTC, a member of the Lacrosse Team and excelled scholastically. Elana also volunteered for various organizations, including at Therapy Works. Elana was a Pre-Med student and a Business Major at Texas Tech University where she had already begun to make an impact on her fellow students. After her first month, she was honored as the Texas Tech Student of the Month. She was active with her church youth group, community council and a member of the Women’s Service Organization. Elana was a model with the Wilhelmina Agency and was already achieving recognition. Elana had a terrific sense of humor and an immense capacity for loving others. Her excitement was contagious. Elana would surprise you, she was funny and competitive, loving and determined. She was an angel here on earth that lit up the room with her beautiful smile. She was full of life and had many dreams that she would have fulfilled.
